Charlotte (Charli) Morris has been assisting lawyers in litigation since 1993. Charli has significant consulting experience in civil and criminal litigation. Her expertise includes: the design and analysis of focus group research, case theme development, opening statement/closing argument construction, the development of Supplemental Juror Questionnaires (SJQs), attorney and judge conducted voir dire and jury selection strategies, as well as witness evaluation and preparation. Work in each of these areas has been for plaintiff and defendant across a wide variety of case types including antitrust, contract, class action, condemnation, employment, environmental, intellectual property, medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, premises liability, and securities litigation.
Charli has also frequently served on the faculty of trial advocacy colleges and has been a featured guest speaker at Inns of Court, bar association conferences, continuing education programs, and other litigation practice seminars. She has been an active member of the American Society of Trial Consultants since 1993. Her first book on trial advocacy, The Persuasive Edge co-authored with Richard J. Crawford, Ph.D., was published in October of 2005.
Charli holds dual Bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s degree in Litigation Science from the University of Kansas. The graduate program combines academic research in Political Science, Psychology, Communication Studies and Law with practical and professional experience in litigation consulting.
